Description: Thsi white one might have the most defined muscle shape of the 100's! He is long bodied, but not the kind of length that you can't get to balance! His length is near perfect! This one, if he stays white, could be deadly in the Yorkshire Drive! Sportage has done one heck of a good job so far and these 100's do nothing but prove that to be true!

Great Blue Barrow "Super star"
American Royal
Lot 85
EN: 6-92
Breed/Sex: Crossbred Barrow
DOB: 4/16/2010
Sire: Super Monster
Sire of Dam: Livin the Dream
Weight as of 6/17/2010: 49lbs
Description: The biggest quesiton here is...If I should tell everyone how good i think this barrow may feed or if we should let him no sell and then feed him for one of our kids. Just joking! Ours are not ready to show yet, but if they were this one might not be in the sale. Now, this barrow needs some feed bucket helo in an area or two to be right where you want him. But, if you trust his feet and legs and use paylean right, this dude can be a tough one to beat. With the judge at the North American he may have a perfect muscle pattern, but for most judges he needs a little power fed into him. We love the design and correctness on this barrow!
This barrow was never beat in class!!! He was Reserve Champion Div IV AR State Fair, and he was 3rd overall behind Grand & Reserve at the American Royal. Austin, buddy I know how bad you wanted the purple banner, but this guy represented us extremely well and had you in the hunt EVERY TIME!!!

Not sure how many have ever wakled out of our barn better than this one. He get's it all together about as well as we've seen. Talk about rib, body, and production...He has it! Talk about being shapely, square,a nd having show appeal...Hea has it! Talk about one that has a great mother, maybe the best young sow on our farm...These 5 litter barrows have it!

We thought this one was tremendous as a baby, and he looked great at the show!!! Great Job Guys!!!

Champion Yorkshire Third Overall
California State Fair

Lot 141
EN: 1-88
Breed/Sex: Crossbred Barrow
Date Born: 1/26/10
Sire: Enterprise
Sire of Dam: ARK Vintage
Weight as of 3/21/10: 47lbs
Description:As we read into the future of this crossbred barrow, which is what you have to do with barrows this young. WE SEE GREATNESS! Now, with that siad, it si important to remember that we are the same people that delivered the Champion Barrow at the IN State Fair, and had a very unhappy customer (until the barrow hit 125lbs). We do not always see eye to eye with everyone, evaluating pigs this size. Our track record of finding greener ones that go out and win, however, has been proven very good! This barrow has the perect amount of msucle adn power for his weight and his age, we worry more about the ones that have too much at this size than we do ones like him. This dude is stout! Maybe the truly stoutest featured barrow we are selling in this sale! he si extraordinarily flexible and sound as he moves of both ends. He reaches out of his front end with great length, and sets his hock way back and powers out of his rear leg! He is so square hipped and super level designed! We love the picutre of this barrow. The way he can flex his top and still reach that far forward and still have that great set to his rear legs! You just don't find them built like this one very often!

Another BIG TIME WIN for the Abreu Crew in St. Helena!!!

Grand Champion Gilt
Indiana State Fair

Lot 11
EN: 55-84
Breed: Crossbred
DOB: 11/3/2008
Sire: Free & Easy
Sire of Dam: Modern Marvel
Service Sire: Super Special
Due Date: 1/10/2010
Description: The only reason this one is in the sale is beacause we have 5 littermates! We don't know which one is the best or which can generate the best! this one is the most moderate framed and has the most "barrow making look"/ the Free & easy daughters have floored us with how impressive they get! This gilt adn all her littermates are massive, three dimensionally massive! The structure and squareness of this one sets her apart from a lot of other thick butted, thick topped hogs! this one can go and is built right! Her mother is one of the few sows in our herd we have ever brought in. We actually sold her as a pig, and then bought her back, after seeing how good she was! This Marvel female is special, really really special!! Take that for what it's worth, but in our opinion, when selecting females to breed with...it's worth a BUNCH! We may be wrong, but $5,000 could be really cheap for what her boars to sell as of late and how those lines will be combined once again! Great Chance to ow something very unique here!

Breed: Yorkshire
DOB: 11/15/2008
Sire: ARK Vintage
Sire of Dam: ARK Symposium
Service Sire: ARk Revolution 37-3
Due Date 12/23/2009
Description: All you here about is how Yorkshires don't have enough mass, body, and are "too big". Well, here she is...the one that is stout, wide, huge bodied, and down sized! This one may be too far from traditional Yorkshire frame, and length for some, but if you want to make barrows or females that will make barrows, you better study this one pretty hard! Where she's good, nothing can touch her! She eats the same sow ration as all of the other gilts and she just stays conditioned like this! One's made like her are fun to own and fun to farrow!! They do what they are supposed to do! her mother is one of the old Symposium 116 sows that have been around for a long time! We actually have her mated for a line bred Yorkshire litter! A Vintage daughter to a Vintage Son! How massively powerful could the pure females out of her be??? WOW!

Description: Taking every barrow in the entire set in consideration...This is one of our favorites!!! He puts it all together. he is awesome fronted, with great mass and shape to his blade! He has a monster forearm and great big feet and toes! The hip structure of this barrow is near perfect! If you study pictures of past winning barrows as we took them as babies, you will be really surprised how much like the Grand Barrow at Denver 2009 looked like this! Great ones tend to have teh same design and pattern year after year!

Champion 4-H Yorkshire
Missouri State Fair

Lot 151
EN: 9-6
Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Barrow
DOB: 1/15/2010
Sire: ARK Revolution 37-3
Sire of Dam: Bullet Proof
Weight as of 3/21/10: 50lbs
Description: These 9 litter barrows are just one notch greener compared to their littermate Lot 153!! We stated that he will rank among some of the best York Barrows we've ever sold! It is very important that you understand how good we think these other three littermates are going to feed! They are tremendous in terms of chest floor and heaviness of structure! They all are extremely square and flexible, maybe a notch more flexible than the powerful littermate. We think York barrows that are in the pattern of these three are tough to beat, especially after they have been fit on and prepared for the show ring!!! You study their pictures and take your pick, we do not have them seperated in our minds. They are just three great feeding individuals! We  think all these 9's will work for late July Counties along with August State Fairs!!

Third Overall Hampshire & Premium Sale
Tulsa State Fair & American Royal

Lot 123
EN: 81-89
Breed/Sex: Crossbred Barrow
DOB: 3/31/10
Sire: Super Special
Sire of Dam: Invincible 74-1
Weight as of 5/22/10: 28lbs
Description: This is one that takes a little more time to figure out! He is maybe not the one that hits you right now as being the one, but we really think this is probably if not the best then one of the top 2-3 Hampshire classing barrow in the sale!!! the rib shape, foot and bone, combined with an incredible hip and rear leg makes him the REAL DEAL in our minds! We might be making a mistake by selling this one as a barrow, instead of feeding him for a BOAR! We really think he is that good! Get your game plan together on this one, he can win a big one!!!

Reserve Light Weight Crossbred Barrow
Ohio State Fair

We were fortunate to have this barrow in such great hands. Thanks to the Bryan Vaughan Family!!!

Lot 107
EN: 30-89
Breed/Sex: Crossbred Barrow
DOB: 2/6/2010
Sire: Bullet Proof 47-4
Sire of Dam: Lawyer
Weight as of 4/16/10: 50lbs
Description: Bone, Bone, and more Bone! Thsi one is STOUT! He has as big of a forearm and front end as any barrow being sold! He is so massive up over the top of his blades and he is so pulled apart at the top of his blades! This barrow reads like one that has a chance to be great! He doesn't have as much rump and thickness of hip today as a few other, but he has enough. We think when you get this much foot and bone and have this kind of width of skeleton, then the muscle is nothing to worry about. One of two things will happen, a hog withthsi much stucture will always come later in muscle development, or you will be able to feed him all teh muscle he needs! Tremendous barrow!

Grand Champion Market Hog
Mississippi State Fair

Lot 20
EN: 100-86
Breed/Sex: Crossbred Gilt
DOB: 4/7/2010
Sire: Super Monster
Sire of Dam: ARK Vintage
Weight as of 6/17/10: 51lbs
Description: This Super Monster is still pretty green, but she has the making of a winner! The squareness to her body make-up and teh correctness of her skeleton, tells us she will be one that at 250 plus will be right there knocking on the door! At this stage of maturity, it's not about how much width and how much muscle they have; it's how perfect can we make them structually and then build from there! We think this gilt gets the basics covered really well!

Class Winning Yorkshire Gilt
NJSA Eastern Regional

Lot 22
EN: 4-9
Breed/Sex: Yorkshire Gilt
DOB: 1/5/2010
Sire: Checkmate
Sire of Dam: ARK Power Wagon
Weight as of 3/21/2010: 84lbs
Description: As I mentioned above on her littermate, we turned around and bred the Power Wagon sow that is the mother of these 4's right back to Checkmate! Just documented proof that we are extremely happy with the way this litter looks! Lot 22 (4-9) could be one of the very best Yorkshire breeding gilts we're selling! She just looks like a champion breeding gilt! She has a little extra scale and extension, which is needed to be the most comptetitve in breeding shows! Yet, she doesn't give up much, if any, base width and true rib shape because she is a notch longer and more extended! Thsi one would easily make my top 5 "show gilts" in the set!!! She just has that look to her! Great Quality Yorkshire Female!!

He has style and is square off both ends! There is no end to the power of this 94 litter! Try not to get caught up trying to decide if one is better than another, or exactly which one is the absolute best one. we do this for a living and trying to determine that at this age on the 94's might be impossible. Just try to get one of this guys in your barn! Great Litter!!

His Marvel mother is one good sow, as all the Modern Marvels are, but this one has done it over and over! We have a ton of confidence in this particular barrow! He will be really hard to get around when he's weighting 270 and at 12 o'clock!!! We like this one to run with the best of them!

Description: This 7 litter is OUT THERE!! Way OUT THERE! BONE-BONE-BONE!! They are incredibly stout and powerful!! there are moderate in their length and frame. They arewide both front and rear, top and bottom!! Are they boarding too quick?? Maybe. But as we take the time and study them, they do not read overly mature or too quick. Their stoutness may cause them to appear that way, but they read in lots of way to be just fine int heir maturity. You make teh call. We have never fed or shown any with this pedigree but we like a lot of things about these guys!!

We need to thank the Rash's again for getting this one into the right hands and producing the results! Congrats to Kayle Merek!!!
